Tiwanaku Alien and Evolution

Science is nothing other than discovery and understanding things. To some its a study to others an adventure. One of the earliest of sciences it fails to loose its place as the number one in research and development. Every year great minds mull over the year that has been and list what the top 10 or 20 science discoveries for the year are.

In 2006 leaders among science discoveries were:

1. A chance to know mankinds primordial past by the study of comet particles brought back to earth by NASAs spaceship Stardust. The comet particles are said to contain gases and dust from the formation of the solar system 4.6 billion years ago. Around 150 scientists all over the world are involved in the study of and discovery from the comet remains.

2. Paleontologists have found in Nunavut in Canada a 375 million year old fossil that bridges the gap between land and aquatic creatures. Names Tiktaalik roseae or fishapod the fossil may well solve many mysteries of evolution.

3. For years mankind has attempted to reach the core of the earth. In April 2006 ateam of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program was able to drill a mile into the ocean crust and collect intact samples of the crusts various layers which includes the deepest layer known as gabbro.

4. A Russian Grigory Perelman resolved a complex Mathematical problem known as Poincares Conjecture. For this achievement he was awarded the prestigious Fields Medal by the International congress of Mathematicians.

5. The discovery of nano creatures in acid sludge in mines could lead the way to understanding life forms that survive under extreme conditions. Organisms that live in mine sludge oxidize iron to get sustainable energy.

6. An antiquarian book written in 1650 contains important information on traditional healing methods used Indonesia.

7. Genetic studies revealed that human and chimpanzee ancestors could have inbred more than 6.3 million years ago.

8. A crash between two galaxies enabled scientists to detect invisible dark matter for the first time.
9. Ocean research teams discovered that a large area of the South Pacific had almost no sea floor sediment.

10. Research showed that starlings could learn and recognize grammatical patterns called recursion once thought to be uniquely a human language trait.

In an attempt to understand himself and life mankind has continuously studied all aspects of life past and present. Physics, math, biology, chemistry, anthropology, nutrition, medicine, molecular and astronomy among many other fields contribute to understanding mans evolution and the creation of a sustainable future. It is study, brainstorming, and debate that led to discovery. Every year experts review the year that has been. As always lists are not stringent and a matter of choice and taste. It is not what leads but the knowledge of what has happened that is important.

The World Wide Web hosts thousands of websites that bring science closer to lay persons and knowledge on the internet promotes learning and an understanding of how science works.

5 Tips For Choosing The Right Science Project For Your Child

There are many things out there that your children can be doing like watching T.V. or listening to music. But these things do not enhance your childs thinking. You want to challenge your childs mind, help them build thinking skills that they will need for there lives. Here are 4 reasons your child should do science projects all year, not just for the science fair.

The 1st reason your child should do science projects all year, not just for the science fair is because it gets your child off the couch and using their mind. Make sure to help your child find things to do that they are interested in. Make sure to act interested in science yourself. If you do not act interested there is a big chance your child wont be interested. So find activities that you and your child can do together.

Then 2nd reason your child should do science projects all year, not just for the science fairs is because it helps your child with their problem solving skills. Problem solving skills are very important to have in their lives. Your child will learn problem solving skills through science projects because they will have to find solutions to different problems. For instance they might be curious how a current charge is made. You can help them research out what makes current charge and then using problem solving find an experiment where you can test out the theory. Problem solving can help your children in future jobs and relationships between other people. When you do science projects all year and not just for the science fair it will help increase the times your child is learning how to problem solve.

The 3rd reason your child should do science projects all year, not just for the science fair is because it will help your child to be more interested in science as a whole. Your child might just try to get through science right now by doing the bare minimum, But with your help you can do science projects all year long and get them to have a bigger interested in science. So not only does it help them to achieve more in there science class it also increases your childs love for science.

The 4th reason your child should do science projects all year, not just for the science fair is because it will make your child more knowledgeable. You child will start to learn things from science that they did not know before. This will help them to be more interested in there surroundings. It will also help them to pay attention to things around them. For instance it might make your child more out to think on a higher level about how things work. And if they cant figure out how they work they will be excited to go find out because they know that you will help them do a science project on the things that they are having trouble understanding.

These are all reasons to do science projects all year, not just for the science fair. Doing science projects with your child will help you to find a bond that will help your child in their future. Encourage your child to find solutions and different ways to get things to work. By doing this you are helping your child to learn and grow while having fun. So make sure to do science projects all year.

Sure! I can do that too.

Mediaset and Vodafone Italia have signed an agreement designed to accelerate and boost the technology and commercial rollout of mobile terrestrial digital TV using DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast - Handheld) technology in Italy, the first country in Europe to do so.

Under the agreement, Vodafone Italia is to use Mediaset's multiplex DVB-H capacity for a period of five years, with an option on a further five years. Vodafone Italia will contribute to the launch by making its technology and broadcast infrastructure available in order to complete the network, thereby enabling the rollout of the new service during 2006.

Thanks to the agreement, it will also be possible for Vodafone Italia customers to view digital-quality mobile TV content on specially enabled handsets, using DVB-H .

The new mobile digital platform offered by Mediaset is open to all operators in the system: the agreement between Mediaset and Vodafone is not, therefore, exclusive and will also promote development of new services and the adoption of new standards by handset manufacturers.

This agreement is great news for Vodafone customers and we believe the benefits will be huge.

Tiwanaku Alien and Evolution

It was mentioned on a biology blog that archaeological engravings from the Tiwanaku civilization in Bolivia are unlikely to be depicting an ancient astronaut for the reason that, even with an aquatic tail, the creature still looks too much like a human. The underlying argument was that the evolution of life forms is so diverse that it is highly unlikely an alien would come out looking even remotely like us. In essence, this is the opposite side of the pendulum to Hollywood's consistent imaging of aliens as humanoids.

The biologist ignored the decorative and symbolic imagery added by the Tiwanaku artists and did not consider the given premise of an aquatic alien inside helmeted spacesuit. I have to assume, therefore, the biologist noted that the creature had two arms and two eyes, and since humans have two arms and two eyes, the biologist concluded that this cannot be an alien.

What should intelligent aliens look like? Or, to phrase it another way, what should we expect interstellar travelers who come here to look like? This is not a complete unknown. If the aliens are capable of interstellar travel, they obviously achieved higher technology. What is necessary to achieve technology? My opinion on this is that to achieve technology, a life form would need a complex brain and the ability to see and manipulate objects. This implies eyes, fingered appendages, and perhaps a head relatively large compared to overall body size. The Tiwanaku alien has all these features.

The biologist might counter that the issue is not that aliens have eyes, but the number of eyes. Here on Earth, higher animal forms evolved with two eyes. For example, mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and insects all have two eyes, but on another planet the number of eyes would be different. There, perhaps, the life forms would randomly have one, three, four, or even ten eyes. Is that true? Is the number of eyes a random event in the evolutionary process?

Astronomers searching for extraterrestrial intelligence are looking for planets similar to Earth regarding temperature and chemical composition because they know life evolved here, so it is logical to assume that life might also evolve on other similar planets. Likewise, with similar planetary history, we might expect the evolutionary process on those other planets to progress similarly to how it progressed here.

Question: Was the evolution of animal life with two eyes on Earth a random event, so much so that we should expect extraterrestrial life to have a different number of eyes? I think not. Why? It is called natural selection or survival of the fittest. Two eyes are the minimum required to give depth perception and concentrated focus. Perhaps early on Earth there were animals with five or ten eyes, but with a brain too small to orientate five directions, such species quickly became extinct. Only two eyes survived. Should we expect something radically different on another Earth-like planet? No. It is reasonable to expect intelligent aliens to have two eyes, just like humans.

It is also reasonable to expect alien life forms to be imaginable from the diversity of life forms we see on Earth, past and present. The Tiwanaku alien has features similar to a fish (fish mouth that seems to be breathing inside a water-filled helmet), features similar to a lobster (sea creature with two forward appendages for manipulating objects), and features similar to humans (large head and fingered upper appendages). Only four fingers are depicted in the Tiwanaku drawings, versus our five, but this easily falls within evolutionary feasibility. The alien's three-pod aquatic tail is also an imaginable evolutionary development.

I think the biologist's appreciation for the potentially enormous diversity of life forms in the universe is admirable. For those life forms that develop higher technology, however, it is likely, not unlikely, that they will have something in common with humans.

4 Reasons Your Child Should Do Science Projects All Year, Not Just For

Some people wonder how they can make science more fun for their children. Some people may want to know how they can help their children learn to understand science more. Here are some ways that you can make science more fun by doing science projects.

Doing science projects can help you and your children to learn new things about science and have fun while doing it. You can take things that your children are learning in science and make more out of it by creating a science project.

For example if your children are learning about volcanos and how they work. You can make your own volcano right in your own kitchen. Read through your childs science book and find out what exactly they are learning about volcanoes. There are usually quizzes at the end of each chapter in your childrens science book. This will give you an idea about what you child will be tested on. So if your child is going to be tested on what makes a volcano erupt or what is the lava made out of. You can call the ingredients that you are pouring into the volcano the things that make lava or make it erupt. This will help your child to have fun while doing science and want to do more science projects to help them learn about science.

Another way to make science fun is to take your children on a nature walk. This will get your children off the couch and get them more active. You can then point out specific things that you see in nature have them pick out some things that they see. Then do sciences project to teach them about the scientific part of what they saw. This will help your children to have fun while doing science projects.

A different way of getting your child to have fun doing science projects is to be interested in what they are learning about in science, and ask if you can help them do science projects. You are your childs best teacher. Your child will want to learn from you more than any one else. You can also help them to understand things in ways that other people cant because you know how they learn the best. Do a science project that they are interested in or have asked a question about. For instance if your child is interested in hot air balloons, you could spend some time together researching hot air balloons and what makes them float. Then find an event with hot air balloons in your area and take them to watch them. Then discuss the way that the hot air balloon takes off and what is fueling it to make it float. This will help to make science more fun to your child and make them want to do more science projects.

There are many different things out there that you can get your child involved in to help them have more fun with science and get the interested in doing more science projects. Encourage them to try to figure out the science behind things and how they work. This will help your child to learn more about science. Make sure to have discussions about science and about what they have learned. Your child will be excited to tell you what they discover and have learned if you act interested in what they have to say. Do science projects that can create new ways of doing things like popping popcorn. Explain why popcorn will pop one way but not another. Creating new ways to do things through science projects will help make science more fun.
